Working Groups
If you live in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul (Minnesota) Metro Area, consider joining one of our in-person Ethical Leadership Working Groups. We currently have two chapters, East Metro meeting in Saint Paul, and West Metro meeting in Golden Valley.
Groups meet once each month, to discuss a topic related to ethical leadership and apply lessons to our leadership work. Membership is open to the public, and participation is free of charge. Regular participants may choose to be listed on a roster to facilitate discussion by group members between sessions.
Monthly meetings typically center on a text, but participants need not have read the texts to benefit from the conversations. We introduce a new text most months; previous topics included:
- High Noon, a film by producer Stanley Kramer and director Fred Zinnemann
- Max DePree, Leadership is an Art
- Robert Sutton, The No Asshole Rule
- SunTzu, The Art of War
- Machiavelli, The Prince
- Bill George, True North
- Nathaniel Philbrick, In the Heart of the Sea
- Doris Kearns Goodwin, Team of Rivals
Problem-Solving Sessions on Demand. Members may convene a meeting in person or by teleconference to discuss problems in a confidential environment with other members.
On-line discussion site available 24-7 through LinkedIn.
Again, Ethical Leadership Working Groups are free and open to anyone.
